Placement on the waiting list does not guarantee that the applicant/family is eligible for assistance.  A final determination of eligibility will be made when the applicant/family is selected from the waitlist, and all require information has been provided and evaluated by HRA staff

RWHRA PROGRAMS ARE OPEN FOR ANYONE WHO IS ELIGIBLE TO APPLY.

  • Applicants must be a US citizen or eligible non-citizen, with the head of household having a valid Social Security number.
  • Your gross income must fall within the very-low-income limits to qualify.
  • All programs are operating on a waitlist; emergency or short-term housing is not available through the Red Wing Housing Authority.
  • Our waitlists are currently 18 months, or longer. When an application reaches “Top of the Waitlist”, a packet of documents will be mailed through USPS to the address on file. HRA staff will verify information once it is completed and returned. If an applicant is accepted, and assistance is available, the applicant will be invited to meet with HRA staff.
  • The Red Wing HRA’s goal is to assist with affordable rental housing within the city limits of Red Wing MN.
