First-Generation Homebuyer Loan Program
The First-Generation Homebuyer Loan Program is a loan for first-generation homebuyers. The loan can be used for a variety of expenses, including downpayment and closing costs.
Someone may be a first-generation homebuyer if they or their parents or legal guardians have:
- Never owned a home
OR - Owned a home but lost it due to foreclosure
We’re encouraging potential homebuyers to start preparing for the program now.
How can I help?
The First-Generation Homebuyer Loan Program will bring homeownership within reach of more Minnesotans.
As a property owner or manager, you likely know people who are thinking about buying their own home. If it makes sense for your property, we’re asking that you post a flyer about the First- Generation Homebuyer Program.
